HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — A Harrisonville couple, both local police officers, have been displaced after their home caught fire.

According to the Harrisonville Missouri Police Department Facebook page, Sergeant Pearce was called home from duty early Sunday morning as his home was on fire.

His girlfriend, also a law enforcement officer, was home with their children at the time and was able to get everyone out safely.

The family reportedly suffered no injuries, but lost all of their belongings.

The fire is being investigated as arson as investigators believe the blaze originated outside the home.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.

The page states “the funds will be used to help get them a new place to stay and replace some of their belongings.”
