The Pettis County Republican Headquarters will officially open their doors during a grand opening ceremony on Friday.  Young said the festivities are scheduled to get underway at 10:30.  “Hopefully, we will have all the elected officials, as well as those elected during the primary and those that still have races for the general,” said Young, “We will have a couple of them speak and we’ll cut the ribbon.  Then we are having hot dogs, chips, drinks, and a dessert so they have a chance to meet all of them that are in attendance.”

According to the chairwoman, this will also be a good time for area residents to learn how they can get involved.  “We encouraged anybody to come and volunteer their time,” said Young, “We want to have the headquarters open from 8:30 in the morning until 6:00 at night, six days a week.  So, we would love to have volunteers and would love to see new faces to participate in the process.”

The headquarters are located at 1400 South Limit in Sedalia.  More information can be found by visiting the organization’s website.
