Gov. Jay Nixon will sign copies of House Bill 2002 in a ceremony on Sunday evening (June 17) at Boys State in Warrensburg. House Bill 2002 provides record funding for K-12 classrooms in Missouri in Fiscal Year 2013, which Gov. Nixon called for during his 2012 State of the State address and which the General Assembly agreed with in its budget.
The Governor will sign the budget bill after addressing delegates participating in the annual Boys State program at the University of Central Missouri.
