Governor Nixon is scheduled to visit Ray County this morning for a roundtable discussion with local officials about the impact of special tax breaks passed by the legislature.

Joining the governor is Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Richard Fordyce. They will meet with soil and water district officials at the Ray County Library in Richmond at 10:30 a.m.

The purpose of their meeting is to discuss how legislation passed by the General Assembly would reduce funding for the state’s soil and water conservation districts.
