Clean Line Energy is inviting local businesses to attend informational meetings Wednesday about a new transmission line project. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Project Development Manager Diana Rivera.
Rivera said residents and business owners are encouraged to attend. “We look forward to meeting local businesses who may be interested in participating in the project. We would like to get feedback from landowners about the routing as well.” The project is expected to bring a maximum of 5,000 jobs for the construction of the transmission line, and 500 permanent jobs for long-term maintenance.
Rivera added businesses with a variety of specialties are needed for the project. “The types of businesses we’re interested in meeting are Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, Concrete Suppliers, Equipment Rental, and Clearing and Grading to name a few.” She said, “We are generally just looking for any Pre-construction and Construction material or service suppliers, who can participate in a big civil works project.”
A presentation will be made at the beginning of each meeting, followed by a meet and greet with staff from clean line.
The first meeting will be held from 8-10 a.m. at The Lodge in Moberly, located at 111 Rothwell Park Road. The second meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Chillicothe at 401 Harvester Rd.
