JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.- A Grand Jury indictment has been filed along with formal charges for a Fulton man being accused of rape in Cole County.

Bobby Bishop, 41, is being charged with felony statutory rape in the first-degree with a person less than 14 years old, felony statutory sodomy-deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old, and felony child molestation in the first-degree.

A witness told investigators that between November 2014 and March 2015 she and the victim, a girl under the age of 14, were in an abusive situation with Bishop.

Bishop denied these allegations when interviewed by authorities back in November. Cash or surety bond has been set at $100,000. Bishop is currently in custody with the Missouri Department of Corrections in Fulton.
