HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — A Kansas man is arrested on a habitual DWI charge in Cass County dating back to March.

Court documents state 36-year-old Joshua B. Bellis was involved in a hit and run accident that occurred in Raymore on March 17. Witnesses reported seeing Bellis crash into a mailbox and a parked car in a driveway. No one was injured in the accident.

Officers noticed a bottle of alcohol in his vehicle when they made contact with Bellis. Court documents list him charged with DWI or DUI over eight times in the past 18 years.

Bellis faces a felony charge of habitual DWI and a misdemeanor of leaving the scene of an accident.
