The Macon Senior Center will be hosting a ham and bean dinner and balloon bust tomorrow at the Senior Center. Christina Viers, Administrator of the Macon Senior Center, says the food will be nothing short of fantastic, “We’re going to be having the ham and beans, cole slaw, fried potatoes, cornbread, a dessert, and a drink. And then afterword’s we’ll be having a balloon bust, which everyone is asked to buy a balloon for one dollar. We have prizes that were located by the local businesses that will be in the balloons.”

This dinner isn’t entirely about the food, after the dinner the balloon bust will get underway. Viers says this game will give folks a chance to win some great prizes. “We do have, one of our local hotels has donated a suit. We have some personal pan pizzas, we have a couple of oil changes, I’m going to throw in some certificates for some meals at the Senior Center, itself. And then some balloons might be empty. So it’s just kind of, you just, you get what you get.”

The cost for the ham and beans dinner will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 10 years and under. The dinner will kick off at 11 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. For more information you can contact the senior center at (660)-358-6411.
