CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A Harrisonville, Missouri, man is in custody following a brief manhunt Wednesday.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies initially attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2000 block of Meadowlark Drive in Harrisonville. The suspect, 21-year-old Jesse D. Fair took off and became disabled after a brief chase at 11 .a.m Wednesday.
The driver then fled from the vehicle and ran into a field south of the neighborhood. Over twenty law enforcement officers from the Harrisonville Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Office surrounded and searched the area with the assistance of two K9 Teams.
At around 12:00 p.m. the subject was located by a Cass County Sheriff’s Office K9 team hiding in a pond partially submerged under the water.
Law enforcement found that Fair is wanted by numerous agencies on active warrants. Fair was arrested and held on warrants out of Harrisonville, Belton, Missouri, and Johnson County.
He was taken into custody and faces new charges of resisting arrest and accessory stealing from an incident on July 3.
Bond is $10,000 cash only.
