SEDALIA—State Fair Community College will offer five free health career information sessions this spring for prospective students and current SFCC, transfer and high school students.
The meetings will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Feb. 16, from 6-7:30 p.m. March 14, from 5-6:30 p.m. April 16, and from 6-7:30 p.m. May 21 in Thompson Conference Center A of the Heckart Science and Allied Health Building on the Sedalia campus.
A fifth session will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 8 at Whiteman Air Force Base. Base access is required to attend this session.
The sessions will provide an overview of dental hygiene, radiologic technology, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, health care specialist, and health information technology careers as well as the correlating programs SFCC offers.
Participants will learn about the application process, courses needed in preparation for entering a program and how the programs are structured.
