There will be a hearing Tuesday morning in a Clay County courtroom for a Kansas City teen accused of murder in the first degree.
Court documents reveal Brandon D. Fletcher, 17, also faces charges of felony first degree robbery and felony kidnapping charges. Each charge is accompanied by one count of armed criminal action for his alleged involvement in the alleged torture and killing of 58-year-old Liberty resident Mark Thomas back in January.
Fletcher’s hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. If convicted of first degree murder, Fletcher could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
Zachary Lisle, 21, is also accused in the murder and faces similar charges. Lisle’s next court appearance will be next Tuesday, June 24th.
