SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Bond was posted and a conference call and preliminary hearing are scheduled for a Marshall man accused of 2nd degree murder.
According to court documents, a $250,000 bond was posted yesterday for James Scott Miller. A $500,000 bond was paid January 2 to grant his release. Miller was placed back into custody after investigators discovered a bond violation. The violations were not disclosed by officials.
Miller was placed back in custody after Miller allegedly killed Joshua Charles Smith at a residence on Viking Lane in Marshall on December 29, 2018. A conference call is scheduled for 4 p.m. this afternoon.
Miller will then face a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Friday morning in Saline County.
