CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — The Chillicothe City Council will meet for a regularly scheduled meeting Monday evening.
According to a tentative agenda, the meeting will begin with a report from the finance chairman, which will include the presentation and possible approval of municipal utilities invoices and salaries.
A public hearing will then be held to hear comments regarding an ordinance which would amend multiple sections of the city’s zoning code.
Appearances from various officials will then be made, including from State Rep. Rusty Black (R-Chillicothe), who will recognize Darrell Wright, who was named 2018 Fire Chief of the Year. Also on the agenda are representatives from the Friends of the Park group, who will introduce the organization and present its goals for the city’s parks.
City Administrator Darin Chappell will also introduce a number of topics, including an ordinance for an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation to install new welcome signs for the City of Chillicothe.
The Mayor and members of council will then give reports before adjourning to a closed session.
The meeting of the Chillicothe City Council is slated to get underway at Chillicothe City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
