The event will feature keynote speaker Linda Bunten, with St. Luke’s Mid-America Heart Institute.
Press Release from the Lafayette County Health Department
Most people don’t realize heart disease is the #1 killer of women in Lafayette County, and unfortunately, too many women of all ages die unnecessarily each year from a heart attack. Area women can evaluate their risk and learn how to prevent heart disease by attending the upcoming “Heart to Heart” – Health Forum for Women. From 2:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., obtain free health screenings, view exhibits, recipe demonstrations, and enjoy light heart-healthy refreshments. Workshops on a variety of health topics begin at 4:00 p.m., and are repeated at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Drawings for several door prizes will be held throughout the evening.
