LINN COUNTY, Mo. – Here’s the unofficial result of Tuesday nights special election for Sheriff of Linn County.

With 1725 total votes cast, or less than 21% of the registered voters casting a ballot, Republican Jeff Henke soundly defeated his Democratic rival Billy Stroud. Unofficially, Henke garnered 1,213 votes to Stroud’s 504 votes in the race to replace Sheriff Tom Parks. Parks retired on June 30th, after 22 years of service to Linn County residents.
