The Higginsville Board of Aldermen will meet in regular session tonight.  Once the meeting begins,  Jenny Holt will be on hand to give a presentation regarding an upcoming county-wide fundraising event for the senior center.  In other business, the board will take under consideration the hiring of a part-time paramedic and will also hear from the mayor regarding his recent appointment of Municipal Judge Jim Hall who will begin his duties on July 12th.  Other items on the agenda include an ordinance giving the city the option for purchase of note with Corder Bank in relation to the Bright Futures project.  This action would protect the city’s interest in the project in the event the loan would ever default.  The board will also consider approval of a contract with Streck Construction for the Fairground sidewalk project.  The meeting will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
