LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Higginsville is facing multiple sexual felonies after he allegedly had sex with a minor in Lafayette County in 2018.
According to a probable cause statement filed in a Lafayette County courtroom, a 15-year-old victim voluntarily informed investigators that she had consensual sex with a man who she thought to be 26-years-old, but only knew him by the nickname “Rico”.
The investigating officer knew a person matching the description of “Rico,” now identified as Timothy Julius Williams, 24.
When questioned by authorities, Williams initially denied any sexual contact with the young victim, however later relented, according to the probable cause statement, and confessed to the allegations.
Williams attempted to mislead investigators, however, by alleging the sexual abuse had occurred prior to the Summer of 2018.
Upon further investigation and a following second interview with the victim, law enforcement officials determined Williams allegedly had sexual contact with the 15-year-old on three occasions: just before Halloween 2018, on Halloween 2018 and during the first week of November, 2018.
Williams is now formally charged with three felony counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.
Future court dates are currently pending.
