Three Ordinances were passed at Monday’s Board of Aldermen meeting in Higginsville. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with City Administrator Lee Barker:
The first ordinance was to expend city revenue for fireworks to be used at the City’s Independence Day celebration. The second was an agreement with the Lion’s Club to provide services when it comes time to shoot them off.
“We’re ready for the snow to be gone and the Fourth of July to be here, evidently,” said Barker.
The cost of the fireworks will be reimbursed through the Chamber of Commerce.
The third ordinance signed was a contract with Knehan’s Lawn Care Service for the cemetery. The City will pay $1,200 per mowing cycle.
