HIGGINSVILLE, Mo.– A Higginsville resident was taken into custody Saturday on multiple felony charges.
Nathan Haynes, 31, was arrested by Higginsville PD on one count of domestic assault in the first degree, one count of armed criminal action, and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a probable cause statement, Haynes was in an argument with his brother in front of his residence when Haynes pulled out a weapon and shot his brother.
Seven children ranging in age from 6 to 13 were playing on a trampoline roughly 55 feet away during the time of the shooting.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the wrist and hip and was transported to a local hospital. Haynes’ bond is set at $150,000. Court dates are pending.
