An accident reported by a KMZU listener, that closed Highway 10 in Ray County, was the result of avoiding an animal. According to the Highway Patrol, Christian Tabora, 18, of Hardin, was Eastbound in Highway 10, East of Landing Road, when he swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle ran off the left side of the highway and struck a utility pole. Tabora received minor injuries but was flown to Liberty Hospital.
A KMZU listener has called to report that Highway 10 in Ray County at Long Lake Road is closed due to a helicopter landing for an auto accident victim at that location. According to the caller, the accident was a single vehicle overcorrecting from losing control and hitting a utility pole. The Helicopter arrived about 15 minutes before 10pm and the road is expected to be closed a little longer.
