(Update 06/10/14 10:45 a.m.) All eastbound lanes of highway 36 at the Grand River Bridge are now open.
(Update 06/10/14 9:45 a.m.): The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that one eastbound lane is now open.
A KMZU listener had reported a chase in the wrong direction of Highway 36 in Livingston County, just after 8:35 a.m. Tuesday.
KMZU news has spoken with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and they report that there is an accident in the eastbound lanes of highway 36 at the Grand River Bridge in Livingston County. The official with the patrol states the westbound lanes were shut down briefly to allow emergency crews access to the accident scene because eastbound 36 is at a standstill with both lanes blocked at the Grand River Bridge.
Motorists on eastbound Highway 36 still west of Utica and the Grand River Bridge should exit immediately and find an alternate route.
