Lt. Paul Reinsch says starting Friday, July 1, 2016, at 6 p.m. patrols will increase in the hopes of avoiding the same type of traffic numbers from last year.

Reinsch wants motorists to know that every trooper will be on Missouri roadways this holiday weekend.

crash-accident-car-keys-shattered-glass-road-street-web-genericOperation C.A.R.E. stands for “Combined Accident Reduction Effort” with saturated patrols out through Monday night. The counting period ends at 11:59 p.m. July 4, 2016.

Troopers will also be out on Missouri’s waterways during this time to ensure the safety of boating families and groups, on the look out for intoxicated operators.
