ARROW ROCK, MO – The oldest operating restaurant west of the Mississippi will now be maintained through partnership between two organizations.

The J. Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock will be managed by Missouri State Parks, and Friends of Arrow Rock beginning January 2019. Among the historic properties in the village the tavern was one property the Friends Board of Trustees desired to maintain. Plans are also in the works to expand and increase hours of operation and hospitality opportunities. The friends of arrow rock organization began within the tavern in 1959.
