BROOKFIELD, Mo. – Brookfield high school seniors will be going out with a bang this weekend during the Fourth of July weekend. The graduation ceremony was delayed, due to the coronavirus pandemic, is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 5. It’s a rather late start time, but Brookfield Superintendent Dr. Kyle Collins says there’s a good reason for that.
“We are having it late in the evening because we want to combine that ceremony with the celebration of our Nation’s independence and do a nice fireworks display after the ceremony,” Collins said.
The ceremony is planned for Brookfield’s Burlington Field.
