Progress is set to continue on the Wright Memorial Hospital Walking Trail and Memorial Garden. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Foundation Development Officer Matt Osterthun:
Three bids have been received and the Board will meet to review them on Thursday. They plan to make a decision at that time. Weather-permitting, construction could begin in May.
The Foundation is currently more than halfway to their fundraising goal of about $200,000. They currently have $112,000 and hope to reach their goal by the end of the year.
The Foundation is raising money through a brick and tile program. A $100 donation will buy a brick in someone’s name. That brick will then be placed at one of five resting areas on the trail.
Anyone interested in making a donation can contact Osterthun at (660) 358-5706.
