A motorcycle rider was hospitalized, then charged, after an accident early Saturday morning. A Kansas City resident, Eric Baker, 28, was traveling southbound in Platte County on interstate 29 when he tried to exit on Barry Road, but ran off the right side of the roadway and was ejected. Baker was transported to North Kansas City Hospital and is being treated for serious injuries. He was later charged with driving while intoxicated, having no valid license, a lane violation and having no insurance.
