RICHMOND, Mo. – At 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, the Richmond Fire Department was called for a structure fire in the 100 block of Hill Street.
Fire crews discovered a single story house with smoke and fire coming from several windows. It was unclear if the residents of the house were inside. After knocking down the fire, fire crews performed an initial search and found nobody was inside. The fire was under control in less than five minutes but salvage and overhaul continued until 1:42 a.m. Thursday. Three rooms were damaged by fire and there is smoke and heat damage throughout the structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
