UPDATE: 11:00 a.m. (3/10/16) – James “Jack” Heitzler, 84, was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at University Hospital following a case review hearing Wednesday. Heitzler was released on his own recognizance in order to receive the evaluation, and was ordered to return to the Boone County Jail following his release from the hospital.
Heitzler’s case is set for review April 27, 2016.
Heitzler was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened his daughter with a firearm before setting her house on fire on February 4, 2016.
BOONE COUNTY, Mo. – A case review is scheduled to begin at 9:00 this morning in Boone County.
The court scheduled a review to set a date for formal arraignment of James Jack Heitzler, 74, of Hullsville. Heitzler was given time to consult with an attorney. Heitzler is being held on a $500.000 bond after he allegedly threatened his daughter with a firearm before setting her house on fire on February 4, 2016.
