On behalf of the Carrollton Kiwanis Club, Past President Lynn Freeman accepts a token of apprecition from the school board. Kiwanis and other community members donated time, labor and materials to build the new press box at the football field.

The Carrollton School Board had a full agenda during the Tuesday night meeting.  The gathering kicked off with board members thanking the Carrollton Kiwanis and other community members for coming together to build the new media facility at the football field.  Superintendent Dr. Judith Delaney says more than 140-thousand-dollars in labor and materials went into the structure.

In an effort to ease minds on where students spend lunch money, board members agreed to add a convenient on-line program.

Delaney says the new method will require a small fee.  In other business, board members gave a thumbs up for a student funded, sophomore, junior, senior leadership experience to the nation’s capital.

Several bids to install new lockers for grades 7 through 12 were reviewed.  One bid was accepted and Delaney expects the new red storage units to be set in place next summer.
