Update 12:35 p.m.: The Chillicothe Police Department has issued a press release on events that took place around 10:30 this morning.  According to the report, officers responded to the Wal-Mart parking lot to reports of a domestic dispute on the north side of the building.  A firearm discharge had been reported in the incident.  The female victim was taken in a vehicle by the suspect and they were seen leaving the south city limits.  A short time later, both individuals were located in Wheeling by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.  The suspect, whose name was not included in the press release, was taken into custody and the victim was reportedly unharmed.  Damage from the event includes a hole in a metal building where a bullet passed through.  The investigation in the case continues.

Update 11:50 a.m. Unconfirmed reports indicate the suspect in this incident has been taken into custody.  Officials say a press release will be issued early Tuesday afternoon.

Update 10:55 a.m.: According to scanner traffic, the vehicle is a 2004 Sunfire with plates AE8-S3F and is believed to be headed towards Brookfield on Highway 36.  A KMZU caller reports the suspect’s name is Tristan Shepherd. 

According to scanner traffic, there has been a shooting incident in the parking lot of the Chillicothe Wal-Mart.  Initial reports indicate a male suspect fired shots at a female.

Both the male and female are said to have then gotten into a red Pontiac vehicle and left the area headed in an unknown direction on Highway 36.  So far, we don’t have a license number for the car.  We will bring you more information on this story as it becomes available.
