JusticeLadyKANSAS CITY, Mo. – The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri announced an Independence, Mo. man has been sentenced for attempting to produce child pornography.

Nicholas A. Braile, 26, was given a fifteen year sentence in federal prison without the possibility of parole Tuesday.

Braile pleaded guilty February, 18, 2015 to secretly recording videos of unsuspecting victims in restrooms and changing rooms in various businesses at Independence Center and elsewhere.

Braile was arrested in May, 15, 2014 by a Walmart security guard in Independence after he was observed taking an “up-skirt” photo of a female customer with his cell phone. Law enforcement officers arrested Braile and obtained search warrants for his cell phone and residence, where they seized a desktop and laptop computer.

Authorities discovered additional photos and videos of child pornography on those devices.

His sentence was to begin immediately.
