INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Independence Police Department says a teen walking to a bus stop found a body Friday morning.
The body was discovered near 24th and
Park as the student walked to meet her school bus. Witnesses told police of shots being heard before the body was found. The victim was reportedly a man in his 20 who was found lying near an air conditioning unit.
Police are not releasing any further details at this time.
