MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. – A Versailles, Mo. driver was airlifted to Columbia and later charged with drunk driving after he allegedly failed to negotiate a curve in Morgan County Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marshal Vera, 33, was northbound on Route TT, just South of Dorsey Lane, when he traveled off the left side of the curve about 4:45 p.m.
The vehicle struck a fence and overturned, causing Vera to be ejected. Not wearing a seat belt is believed to have contributed to Vera’s serious injuries. Following the investigation Vera was charged with DWI. He was released to tthe care of university Hospital.
