BRASHEAR, Mo – An evening car crash left a Hurdland resident with moderate injuries.  Keetha Sykes, 60, was driving eastbound on Highway 6 in Brashear when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the right side of the road, hitting a tree.

According to a Highway Patrol crash report, she had been wearing a safety device during the crash.  Sykes was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment of her injuries.
