PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Hydroplaning caused a crash on I-29 early Sunday morning, according to a crash report from Missouri State Highway Patrol.

22-year-old Kansas City resident Christopher Palmer was traveling south on I-29 at 12:48 a.m. when, at the 12.2 mile marker, his vehicle reportedly hydroplaned, traveling off the right side of the roadway. Palmer’s vehicle then struck a concrete barrier, inflicting minor injuries.

Palmer was transported by ambulance to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. He was reportedly wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
