We now have the details of the three vehicle accident in Pettis County, reported by a KMZU listener Tuesday afternoon. According to the patrol report, Cody Wood, 19, of Sedalia was stopped in traffic to make a left turn on Eastbound Highway 50 at Air Park Road, when Wade Hughes, 51, of Sedalia ran into the rear of the Wood vehicle. This pushed Wood into the Westbound lanes where Andrea Reeves, 33, of Smithton ran into his passenger side. Wood, Hughes and Hughes two passengers received minor injuries and refused treatment. Reeves received moderate injuries and her passenger, Gabriel Aitken, 9, received minor injuries and were transported to Bothwell Hospital.
A KMZU listener has just called in an accident on Hwy 50 eastbound in front of the Eagle Stop near the city limits for Sedalia.
A dispatcher with the highway patrol has confirmed those reports and indicated there are emergency crews on scene and tow in route. Reportedly this is a 3 car injury accident and traffic is currently blocked.
