NORTHWEST MISSOURI — Drivers in northwest Missouri have another headache to deal with due to flooding roadways.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Interstate 29 will be closed due to flooding from mile marker 57, just north of St. Joseph, extending north to the Missouri/Iowa border with immediate effect.
Drivers in the affected area should follow the detour using Interstate 35 before taking Interstate 80 to Iowa.
I-29 was first closed last week at Rock Port, near the 110 mile marker. Drivers are encouraged to check the MoDOT App or MoDOT Traveler Information Map to stay up to date on the latest closures.
