UPDATE:  5/12 – Information regarding an arrest and assault at a Waverly gas station April 30, was released by Lafayette County Courts.

According to a probable cause statement, Lane Bertelli, 24, of Lone Tree, Iowa, was arrested following a report to law enforcement that he appeared to be highly intoxicated. Bertelli, reportedly, had the intention of buying alcohol inside the store. The statement says Bertelli became combative, allegedly striking a deputy, and state trooper as they attempted to detain him.

Baggies of methamphetamine, and a handgun were also, allegedly found in his possession.

Bertelli is charged with felonies for unlawful possession of controlled substances, and unlawful firearm possession. 

A motion for the reduction of $25,000 cash or surety bond was made last week. A future hearing is scheduled for May 20.  

WAVERLY, MO – A Lone Tree, Iowa man was charged on Friday with multiple criminal counts that occurred in Lexington.
Lane Bertelli is in custody in the Lafayette County jail on a $25,000 bond, according to court documents. He is charged with two counts of 4th degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting or interfering with an arrest and possession of marijuana.
No date has been scheduled for his court appearance.
