JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — An Iowa man was sentenced in federal court today Monday on child sexual exploitation charges.

According to a news release from the Office of the United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, John Jordan Lundberg, 31, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison without parole, in addition to 15 years of supervised release following incarceration.

Lundberg pleaded guilty to attempting to produce child pornography on Sept. 24, 2018.

Lundberg admitted to responding to an online advertisement by an undercover Boone County Sheriff’s Department detective acting as a mother offering her 13-year-old daughter for sex on Sept. 3. He also posed as the daughter and communicated with Lundberg via text message.
