LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. – An icy road is being blamed for a one vehicle crash that injured four in Lewis County Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound vehicle on Highway 61, South of Canton, lost control, slid off the roadway and struck several trees. The driver, Dallas Newman, 19, and a passenger, Thaddeus Toole, 19, were moderately injured, but two unrestrained passengers, Judy Newman, 51, and Martina Vest, 83, were ejected and seriously injured.
Everyone was transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy Illinois for treatment.
