PRESS RELEASE: (Missouri Department of Natural Resources) — The Missouri State Museum will present the program “Memorial, Memory and the Missouri State Museum” as part of its ongoing Museum After Hours series at
7 p.m., April 3. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the program will move to the Jefferson Landing State Historic Site for 2019.
The Missouri General Assembly established the “Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Memorial Hall” in the Missouri State Capitol May 6, 1919. Join us to learn more about the museum’s history and to celebrate its 100th year.
The Missouri State Museum’s After Hour” events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Doors to the Lohman Building will open at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m. Come early to explore the historic site by entering through the track-side doors before the program. The program will be held in the first floor classroom, easily accessed from the south entrance door. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
