CARROLLTON, Mo. — A full judicial investiture was held Monday evening at the Carroll County Courthouse in Carrollton officially installing Joe Don McGaugh as Associate Circuit Judge for Missouri’s 6th Judicial Circuit.
McGaugh’s friends and family members were on hand as his mother, Carroll County Clerk Peggy McGaugh, administered the oath of office and swore her son in as a state judge.
McGuagh previously served as a Republican Representative for the 39th Missouri House District in Jefferson City. He was appointed in October to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Kevin Walden to 6th Circuit Judge.
McGaugh also operated two law offices, one in Carrollton and another in Richmond, which are now under new management following McGaugh’s assumption of the judgeship.
