A Johnson County accident sent three people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon. According to the Highway Patrol, Chance Duffman, 17, of Knob Noster, was attempting to cross Highway 50 at Route D. He failed to yield to Caleb Luallen, 15, of Lee’s Summit, and struck that vehicle on the passenger side.

Duffman received moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Luallen was taken to Centerpoint with minor injuries, and Luallen’s passenger, John Luallen, 47, was transported to the same hospital with moderate injuries.
