JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo—Failure to yield lands a Kirksville man in the hospital today.

Around 4:30 Monday afternoon 29-year-old Matthew Koch, of Kirksville, tuned south on Route D and failed to slow down for an eastbound tractor trailer driven by 69-year-old Glenn Koopman, of Sedalia. The tractor trailer struck the passenger side of Koch’s vehicle causing it to travel off the south side of the road and strike a yield sign. Koch was then taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District.
