On Friday, July 11th, 2014 4-H and FFA members had the chance to offer their exhibit meat animals for sale at the Johnson County Fair during the Junior Livestock Show that was held at the fairgrounds.
Here are the results of that sale:
Dally Bruns’s 82lb Grand Champion Market Goat sold for $5.00 per pound to Rob Russell for Prosecutor.
Sunflower Bank purchased Cooper Parsons 68lb Reserve Champion Market Goat for $5.25 per pound.
Tyler Livengood’s 66lb goat brought in $264 from Northside Feed.
Ag Power purchased August Hoeper’s 64lb goat for $2.50 per pound.
Robert Taylor Insurance bought Luke Krewson’s 60lb goat for $8.50 per pound.
Carly Krewson’s 60lb goat was purchased by Rick Ball Ford for $270.
Jessica Farmer’s Grand Champion Pen of four sold to Representative Denny Hoskins for $190.
Senator David Pearce paid $150 for Tim Russell’s Reserve Champion Pen of four.
Austin Taylor’s sold for $225 to Jan Jones.
Lyle (Roper) Burns sold his 1060lb Grand Champion Steer to F&C Bank for $2.00 per pound.
Tyler Livengood’s 1314lb Reserve Champion Steer brought $2,496.60 from Randy Russell Insurance and Benefit Group.
Mallory Early’s 1142lb steer sold to Farmer’s Elevator & Supply for $2.00 per pound.
Farmer’s Elevator & Supply also paid $2,738.40 for John Dameron’s 1304lb steer.
Aren Dameron’s 1280lb steer sold for $2.85 per pound to Don Stewart.
Allison Wagoner’s 110lb Grand Champion Market Lamb sold to Windsor Livestock Auction for $5.75 per pound.
Breyer Parson’s 138lb Reserve Champion Market Lamb sold to Jones Brothers Agri Services for $414.
Ag Power paid $4.00 per pound for Cooper Parson’s 120lb sheep.
Jones Brothers Agri Service paid $4.00 per pound for Hunter Parson’s 116lb sheep.
