A Marshall woman was sentenced Friday in Clay County on change of venue for her role in the theft of more than $100,000 from a local business.
Cheryl Closterman, 54, pleaded guilty in August to 13 counts of forgery and one count of theft from George’s Heating and Cooling in Marshall.
Closterman received a 7-year sentence on the charges of forgery and 15-years for the theft charge.
She was also ordered to pay $112,000 in restitution.
According to the report, Closterman was given 120 days of shock time in prison.
She could be released and placed on five years of probation after she serves the time.
