A jury in DeKalb County has returned a verdict in favor of Premium Standard Farms in a case where the plaintiff alleged odor from a PSF facility was a nuisance.
PSF President Bill Homann says the company has spent several years and over 30 million improving barn odor control. The latest method is called a scraper system.
The case was filed by Daviess County resident Vernon Hanes who won a similar case with other plaintiffs several years ago. The case was tried in DeKalb County on a change of venue requested by the plaintiff.
