A Kansas City man has been sentenced in federal court for his role in a $7.5 Million dollar conspiracy to distribute cocaine. According to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, Garron T. Briggs, 29, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison without parole. Briggs pleaded guilty in June of 2014 to conspiracy to distribute between 2006 and 2013, which also resulted in a murder and an attempted murder for which state charges are pending. Briggs was among 16 defendants who have all pleaded guilty in the federal indictment.
