KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Kansas City law enforcement are searching for information on a homicide that occurred Sunday evening.
According to a release from KCPD’s Jacob Becchina a little before 6:30 p.m. Kansas City Police Officers were called to a shooting at the Brush Creek Community Center parking lot. Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The second victim was taken to the nearest hospital where he was also declared dead.
According to witnesses a group had gathered in the parking lot. Eventually an argument began and escalated to gunfire, from one or more people, leading to the two victims being struck by bullets.
Detectives have spoken to all involved with the events but do not have any suspects at this time. Law enforcement advises those with any information or any other witnesses to come forward by calling the TIPS hotline anonymously 474-TIPS or by contacting the Homicide Unit 234-5043.
