PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — An accident in Platte County resulted in injuries for a driver from Kansas City Wednesday.
An incident report indicates that the Missouri Highway Patrol was called to Interstate 29 southbound just before the 5.6 mile marker at about 8:55 a.m. Tuesday.
An investigation found a pick-up truck driven by Stephen V. Johnson, 69, of Parkville, was traveling in the center lane when he swerved to avoid a collision ahead. A second vehicle, operated by 57-year-old Kansas City resident Mary L. Miller entered the center lane and was hit by Johnson’s truck.
Miller received moderate injuries in the collision. She was taken to North Kansas City Hospital for care.
